Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to check out my blog – this is a new and exciting adventure and I look forward to continuing to provide horror fans with up-to-date film reviews and analyses of different issues and themes that emerge from the genre.

To continue to best serve the interests of horror fans and  make this site more interactive, I am adding some new features. First, I have created an Instagram (abominabledrwelsh) and Twitter (@AbomDrWelsh) accounts for the blog. I will be rolling out Live Tweets of films on a weekly basis for the Twitter account. At present, I am looking at scheduling the Live Tweets for late Thursday nights (10pm or 11pm EST).

I have also rolled out two new weekly formats for the blog. Every Monday we’ll take a brief look at some of the best jump scare moments from the horror genre in Monday Morning Scares. You’ll also find new polls updated every Friday on our Frightful Friday Polls. In addition to these weekly additions, you can expect to find film reviews posted regularly and keep an eye out for an upcoming Re-Animated entry where we take a look at Day of the Dead and the latest remake.

Author: Andrew Welsh

I am a Criminology professor in Canada but I've always had a passion for horror films. Over the years I've slowly begun incorporating my interest in the horror genre into my research. After years of saying I wanted to write more about horror I have finally decided to create my own blog where I can share some of my passion and insights into the films I love.
